You have two interface options for the communication between the LOGO! Base Module and LOGO!Soft Comfort: LOGO! Cable and Ethernet.

For LOGO! 0BA6 or earlier devices, you can only use a LOGO! Cable to establish the communication; for LOGO! 0BA7 devices, you can only use Ethernet as the communication interface.

Communication with a PC Cable

For the communication with a PC Cable, you can manually choose a communication interface that the LOGO! Base Module can connect to, or you can click "Automatic Detection" button to let LOGO!Soft Comfort automatically detect a valid communication interface:

Communication with the Ethernet

If you select Ethernet for the communication, you firstly have to use the "Add" button to add the IP address configurations of the LOGO! Base Module into the table:

Name for the IP address is "New Address" by default. Double-click the name and change it if necessary:

You can double-click any configuration column (IP Address, Subnet Mask or Gateway) or use "Edit" button to edit the IP address configurations. The default IP address of a LOGO! 0BA7 is 169.254.45.2.

If you are not sure that whether the IP address is valid or not, you can use the "Detect" button to let the LOGO!Soft Comfort automatically check it. You can view the detection result from the "Status" column.

If you tick the "Confirm before communication?" check box, LOGO!Soft Comfort confirms the IP address before the communication. For further information, refer to "Download via Ethernet" in "Tools -> Transfer -> PC -> LOGO!"
